Josie Hemp spent her youth in Andover, Minnesota playing hockey, volleyball, fastpitch, soccer, and lacrosse. She won the state title at 12A's and the consolation championship with the 15A Huskies. She was a State champ again as a ninth grader in 2020 as well as State Runner up in 2021 with Andover. Josie took third place at the U14 Tier 1 National Championship in Irvine, California in 2019 with the District 10 Minnesota Green Giants. She also was a participant at the Team USA U18 Festival in 2021-22. Josie moved to Minnetonka for her junior and senior years of high school where she was State Runner Up with the Skippers in 2022, and 4th place at State in 2023. Josie captained the Skippers he senor year, was nominated a Ms. Hockey semifinalist, was voted All State in 2023 and honorable mention in 2022, and was also selected for the Star Tribune All Metro Firs Team as a senior. Josie is currently a freshman at the University of Minnesota Twin  Cities and is a number of the Golden Gopher Women's Hockey team. In her free time, Josie enjoys hockey training, boating, spending time with friends, and working with the next generation of female athletes, as well as modeling and commercial work. She is so thrilled for this opportunity to be able to join SDP and coach these amazing young girls.
