Skylar Vetter


Skylar Vetter

Skylar Vetter grew up playing hockey, golf and soccer in Lakeville, Minnesota.  She honed her hockey skills in the Lakeville North Hockey Association, playing in the boys program for Peewee AA, Bantam AA and 2 years of high school boys Varsity hockey. In 2018 Skylar was named the Youth Hockey Hub Goalie of the year.  During high school she also competed in girls golf,  earning a spot in the high school girls golf state tournament. 

Skylar competed for Team USA in IIHF U-18 Women's Hockey World Championships in 2019 and 2020.  In 2019 she started all five games and earned a silver medal in Obihiro, Japan.  In 2020 she earned a gold medal and was named U.S.  Player of the Game in the United States 2-1 overtime win over Canada in Bratislava, Slovakia.

Skylar currently attends the University of Minnesota and is enrolled in the Carlson School of Management- Finance. She is a current member of the Gopher Women's Hockey team. As a student-athlete she has earned many awards.

Skylar is excited to join SDP and share what she has learned with the next generation of hockey players.
